Onelo is local-first. We do not collect your personal data, create accounts, or run behavioral tracking.
Your notes, tasks, settings, and preferences remain on your device. Network requests happen only for live widgets you choose to use.
What We Collect
We do not collect personal information such as names, emails, profile IDs, or usage analytics on our own servers.
Local storage only: name, selected widgets, notes, tasks, layout, theme.
Never sent by us: your content and preferences are not uploaded to our backend.
No ad stack: no trackers, pixels, or third-party analytics SDKs.
How Data Is Used
Stored data is used only to make the extension function for you.
- Tasks and notes are saved so you can reopen and continue later.
- Timer state is kept so badge and widget stay consistent.
- Theme and layout preferences keep your interface stable.
Third-Party APIs
Certain live widgets request external data directly from your browser.
- Weather: sends location input to weather provider APIs.
- Currency: sends selected currency codes to exchange-rate APIs.
- News: sends selected region or category for headline retrieval.
- AI Rephrase: sends entered text to your configured AI provider. Avoid sensitive input.
Onelo does not proxy these requests through its own servers.
Chrome Permissions
- storage: required to persist extension state on your device.
- notifications: used only for explicit timer completion alerts.
Onelo does not request broad permissions for browsing history, cookies, or bookmarks.
Retention & Deletion
Your data remains under your control inside browser storage until you clear it or uninstall the extension.
- Clear browser site data or local storage.
- Use reset/clear options inside Onelo (if enabled in your version).
- Uninstall Onelo to remove extension-owned storage.
Your Rights
Because we do not retain personal data on servers, rights around access, correction, and deletion are inherently local and immediate: you can inspect and remove your own data directly on your device.
